As the demands of the semiconductor industry for faster, smaller, higher performing, and less expensive products increase, so too has the quality requirements of our customers. To meet these changing requirements, state-of-the-art measuring equipment has been developed and employed in the high volume production environment. This equipment allows us to measure production processes more accurately and to control processes to a higher degree of statistical accuracy. Real-time, continuous measurement of process data has enabled Gaiser Tool Company to continually improve process capability in many critical areas. In addition to developments made with our measuring capabilities, Gaiser Tool Company has developed automatic manufacturing equipment for several primary operations that allows improved product quality and higher production throughput.
This automation provides us the means to reproduce tools more accurately by eliminating the inconsistencies encountered with manual equipment. Accompanying this investment in equipment, Gaiser Tool Company has made significant investment in quality training programs for employees. Quality groups have been developed to increase the employee awareness of customer requirements. This increased awareness enables Gaiser Tool Company employees to manufacture quality into their products and rely less on Final Inspection processes.
Gaiser Tool Company has implemented the ISO 9001 requirements in our Quality Manual and throughout our factory's operations on a continuous basis and has been certified for the ISO 9001:2000. The results of implementation of the ISO standards and requirements have provided benefits in the areas of employee awareness & training, disciplined approach to process & documentation control, and involvement of top management and all other levels of employees in the quality improvement system.
